DraftKings was established in 2012 by co-founder Jason Robbins, Matt Kalish, and Paul Liberman. It was part of a wave of daily fantasy sites that launched after 2010 and quickly became one of the top products in the field. A year later, DraftKings received an investment from Major League Baseball. That same year they also bought Draft Street, a daily fantasy competitor, and retained some of its NY-based employees.
